I am not a big fan of adventure sports, but horse riding is something I enjoy a lot. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a professional rider, so I won’t be talking about the breed or the canter of the horses, but I do like the feel of riding a horse, all majestic and royal. When we went for a holiday to Adamo Resort Matheran Village, one thing that had me intrigued from the very start was that they arranged horse riding expeditions for you. Since I saw it in their brochure, I knew I had to call them up and confirm if they still offer these services, since I did not want to go there to be disappointed. On calling they confirmed that they do offer the chance to enjoy horse riding in Matheran, in their own fields and nearby the resort. It seemed like a done deal for me, so I booked a couple of their rooms for my friends and myself. I knew that I would be in for a treat when I reached and they asked if I would like to take a look at their stables. I saw that the horses were in excellent condition, and enjoyed a lot of space instead of the cramped horse stables I had seen in Kullu. When I went riding, there was a guide up till some distance, and only when he was convinced that I can ride a horse pretty well, did he leave me in peace to enjoy a solitary ride. This is what makes me think they are one of the best resorts in Matheran near hill station.
