Hotels near Shrinathji Temple Nathdwara – For a Perfect Stay

Nathdwara is a small town in Rajasthan. Situated at a distance of 48kms in the north-east of Udaipur, Nathdwara sits on the right bank of Banas River. The city is famous for its 17th century temple that is dedicated to Lord Shrinathji (Lord Krishna). The term 'Nathdwara' means the 'gate of the lord'. Shrinathji Temple is also known as 'Haveli of Shrinathji'.

According to the legend, the image of Lord Shrinath ji was enshrined in Vrindavan, but to protect the idol from the rage of Aurangzeb, Rana Raj Singh rescued the idol from the domain of Aurangzeb. It is believed that when the image was being shifted, the wheel of the vehicle sank deep down in mud and the image refused to move further, so the escorting priest apprehended that place was Lord's chosen spot. Thus, a temple was built on the same spot.

The temple is simple, but its aesthetic appeal is unbelievable. On a recent family trip I visited Nathdwara and I was looking for the best hotel in Nathdwara and there are a lot of hotels near Shrinathji Temple Nathdwara which really made things easy for me. The temple was a 10 minute walk away from my hotel and had everything that one looks for in a hotel.
